What is a Dredge Pump?
A dredge pump is a horizontal centrifugal pump designed to handle abrasive granular materials and solids of limited size in suspension. It is the heartbeat of a cutter suction dredge, enabling the transport of slurry.

How do dredge pumps work?
The pump contains a casing and an impeller. The impeller, attached to the drive motor via a gearbox and shaft, creates a centrifugal suction force. This vacuum absorbs the slurry through the suction pipe and transports it through the discharge pipeline.
